1970: The case against iodine in bread

http://books.google.com/books/about/Iodine_nutriture_in_the_United_States.htm...

In my research, I came across this conference report from the National Academy of Sciences which seems to be planning the demise of iodate in bread. Notice they keep raising their objections in the form of a question--an insidious technique.

Note the reports that radioactive Iodine uptake was getting more difficult where the bread contained iodate.

Your thoughts?
