Re: Necessary to test for mercury?
I fully agree and was just reading about that on Dr. Mercola's site today. He has a mercury detox protocol and also gives advice on how to prepare the body before removal of fillings.
I've been so strict with my diet because of the candida, and taking so many supplements, I can't imagine I could get to much more of a healthy state pre-mercury detox, since ultimately my health won't really improve until I rid my body of mercury.
However, there are a few things I can do to boost my immune system even more, and he recommends taking chlorella before filling removal, as well as after.
Here's a link to his Mercury Detox Protocol.

As competent as I hope my doctor is, I do wish she would have mentioned mercury poisoning as a possibility. I'm the one who brought it up and while she agreed I should have my fillings removed, she never mentioned detoxing or chelating the mercury, or preparing my body beforehand. She did mention to be careful what dentist I have do the removal.
I have definitely learned that one must ultimately take their health into their own hands, inform themselves and be proactive in their treatment options and choices.
Wouldn't it be so nice if we could just go to any doctor, trust them implicitly, do whatever they told us and we could be magically well?!
In a perfect world. ;)
