The spit test has been proven to be an inaccurate indicator of candida. The best test to identify candida is a lab test of the stool, although this way could have possible false negative. Clinical studies of xylitol have shown that it is only safe for consumption in very small doses, larger and even moderate doses can cause severe digestive problems. Even though xylitol is made from natural substances, they use various chemical reactions until at the end it is basically an unnatural chemical substance, similar to sucralose and other sweeteners. All artificial sweeteners have shown to have detrimental effect in clinical studies, this could likely be due to the fact the body views it as an unnatural toxic and it taxes the liver and other organs that have to process and eliminate harmful byproducts.
I feel it is more beneficial for people on this forum to share personal experiences, as well as recommendations based on actual clinical studies and human biology. Its definitely cool to post your opinions on things you feel could be helpful to others. But so many people boast all of these various protocols all claiming to have the ultimate answers to get rid of candida once and for all and it just seems to create more confusion for those that are really looking for answers.
