Re: Does having a vasectomy cause loss of Libido?

I'm in the same position as your husband. Still looking.

When I was 22, young, healthy, keen and sexually active, I had a vasectomy done. A year following my procedure I experienced hot flashes, loss of memory, hair loss and sexua| dysfunction leading to a loss of libido completely. I never did drugs, worked out 6 days a week, always had an urge to learn and was always optimistic in my approach.

Given my lack of experience and education in dealing with these types of reactions, I set out to get a reversal done in hopes of having the symptoms reversed and getting my body back to equilibrium. It has now been a year and a half since my reversal and I have yet to see any signs of getting my health back. I’ve been to many doctors and had a lot of blood work done but have yet to find a correlation.

My speculation is something neuropathically is lacking. There are so many others out there with these same symptoms caused from having a vasectomy but general rule of thumb is say it’s all in the patients head. If you haven’t already, you should visit http://dontfixit.org/
, it may give you some insight to what we already know.

If I can be of any other assistance feel free to send me a reply.
