how to do tests?

Hi there, maybe James or other person can tell me about how to do testings, like for example,

if i buy coloidal silver how i can test it is good? i need a microscope (what kind) or i need other stuff?

How to test herbs if are ok?

other important/interesting or typical  tests like this?

just curios if someday i can do it too
