Disturbing dreams and spirits, and a cure!!
I was having very vivid and distsurbing dreams for about two months, they would wake me up after 60 to 90 minutes of sleep and were so disturbing I had to get out of bed, all shook up. I hardly slept at all, for two months.
The "disturbing" part was "being chased by young punks with knives, running and running in strange places, dark scary places, scary people", that sort of thing. In one dream I had a cop slowly put a long steel rod up under my ribs into my heart.
Also, I would dream I hear breathing, dreaming of hearing something breathing in my apartment, and some creature dragging themselves across the carpet in my bedroom, struggling...
I was dreaming of being asleep in my bed, dreaming. Confused yet? I was. It was getting so I could not tell dreams from waking life. I would wake up and pinch myself to see if I am awake, but was THAT in a dream? Sometimes it was...
I would get out of bed then, for real, all disturbed and creeped out, and even though I told myself "its just a dream, it is immature to let it affect you like this", the effect was there. I could not go back to sleep.
I became afraid of my bed, afraid of sleep, due to dreams
So then a week ago I did a little ceremony - in real life, not a dream - of a tobacco offering before gathering CEDAR from the ground, and then bringing the cedar in and "smudging" it around the apartment, and SAGE and SWEETGRASS smudge too.
This is Indian custom. It is to chase GHOSTS away, or rather, to get them to cross over.
and guess what - no more bad dreams. I slept again. I would still have dreams, just as vivid, but now they were "my dreams" as my helper said. Not disturbing. Now I dream of people I know, no chasing, no running, no being killed by cops, and dreaming of doing things I like doing, and in places I am familiar with [mostly].
So, please, just for "research" - would some of you who have vivid disturbing dreams try burning some CEDAR in your bedrooms, around your house, and SAGE too, and the Sweetgrass is to "protect yourself". Cedar chases the spirits away, Sage keeps them away. Indian wisdoms. Mind you,it is said that we have bad spirits in this area, natives avoided it even before white people.
It cant hurt... it smells nice actually - people say "Have you been burning incense?"
I am not really a believer in ghosts, but I do know that living things have energy, and that energy does not just disappear when we die. So, whatever... its all possible.
Anyone up for research?
