Re: Pregnant!

Congratulations! Now relax and breathe. lol I am 6 mths pregnant after being sick all of last year and bed ridden for a good while during that time. My adrenals were shot and I went into Cushings. I have never been so sick in all my life.

When I found out I was pregnant I cried and cried from fear and the unknowing. The first mths were very hard for me, I was just so tired all the time and just felt crappy. Now I am doing things I couldn't a year ago. Full of energy and yet the size of a barn. My age (41) has been a scary factor as well but the baby seems really good and healthy and I haven't encountered any problems with blood Sugar or blood pressure, and those were issues for me before the baby.

I will share with you what I take and have done quite well with. And as far as eating, I don't count anything and give my body what it wants.Of course I do watch what kinds of foods such as trying to eat organic and stuff. I don't really eat junk food or drink sodas. When I'm hungry, I eat. It seemed like all the time in the beginning, especially with so much nausea. I went through that for 4 mths. Just don't deprive yourself and really listen to your body.

Right now my cortisol levels are good as well as other hormones. I am nervous about the stress of delivery and what it may do, but for now I feel wonderful. This is what I take and I'm sure James will have some great answers as well; besides the prenatal and iron...Rose Hips,Vit D3(my levels were very low)Folic acid and B12(really helps with nausea also)Stinging Nettles, Rasberry Leaf, and Astragalus. The Astragalus has helped me greatly with gum infection and fighting off the colds that my other children have had. Look into that for the UTI.

Hope that helps some. Again congratulations.

Sal
