I'm currently doing a modified fast adding MCT & coconut milk/oil to hot tea, all mixed to frothy in a blender, usually 3-4 tmes a day. I'm amazed by the energy and unlike my water fasts, I feel warm since mct excites metabolism. I'm losing a pound a day, and no hunger or usual 3-4 days of discomfort. My tea: 2c brewed black or green tea, mixed with 1T mct oil, 1/4-1/5 c plain coconut milk. No sweet of any kind!
For newbies: If new to using coconut or mct oil, the benefits obviously can't happen to great effect if your diet is full of refinded foods. An mct fast is a great way to break free from the sugar-starch cravings.
