yeah I had it for nearly double the time you had it plus a year I would guess. I think I hit around 4 years, so you can imagine the damage that has to be rebuilt! Did you ever take any pictures? I would love to see how they are looking after six months for you. And thanks so much for the reassurance, it def helps keep me motivated :)

Yes I'm on week 10...I'm really excited to see how they look after this next peel, it feels like they have healed so much the past week and a half...we shall see. I'm also really hoping my "no-water" approach will speed up the healing process as compared to others, but we shall see!

As to the answer to your question, I actually don't have a scar at all, the circular line you see is actually the separation between the normal part of my lips and the peeling lips. If I were to take off the "dead skin" there would be no line and no scar. So all it has to do is heal and it will appear normal again. Just like the line on the bottom of my lip where the normal part connects to the peeling part. And sorry to hear that toothpaste caused your condition :( it was chapstick for me :(

I have vowed to never use any kind of product like that again....only natural stuff and only on occasion. I feel so much better after ridding myself of all of those chemicals it's pretty amazing. A lot of good has come out of my peeling lips, so I'm thankful for the knowledge I've gained. Tweet
