The sestamibi scan should find it, however bypass the endocrinologist and go directly to a specialist surgeon who does the minimal surgery all the time. You will not regret it and you'll start feeling better immediatly. As with all thing in life there's risk albiet minimum, however the risk of not having it done is worse.
