The majority opinion where i come from is that intelligent design is a scientifically and intellectually indefensible position. We have been indoctrinated to believe this way since the age of 5 through the public school system, lying textbooks which keep known frauds and other falsehoods in the textbooks many years after their exposure and teach aspects of the theory as fact when really it is guesswork based on assumptions (such as with ages of rock layers and fossils). Also through museums (which do the same), the government and of course propaganda's best friend, the media.
Universities are as an evangelical tent meeting for the ideology of evolution and the young and highly impressionable minds are inundated by really smart "old people" who speak with such authority and who "must know what they're talking about because they're the experts". The tent meeting gets underway and the preacher gets up and says something like this: "Praise the Lord brothers and sisters and hallelujah, let me share the good news with you. We all evolved from a single celled organism billions of years ago which arose from non-life and we specifically arose most recently from apes with a very clearly drawn creative artist's depiction taking us from apes to ape men to healthy muscular cavemen beings to pot bellied beings that walk fully erect... which is us today".
Since most people have been indoctrinated into evolutionary perspective and have perhaps never seen any of the science from a creationist point of view, i have included a few videos in the hopes that they might be viewed with an open mind, with eyes to see and with ears to hear. Since i fear that the following reality would in no way be assumed due to such obstacles as preconceived notions and even propaganda, let it be known that though they are greatly outnumbered and sensationally out-funded, the scientists on the creationist side are smart individuals with phd's too.
