Re: DAY 2 on 21 day fast!
I feel that less water is better. I believe that "true" fasting is dry, but for many like me it's difficult to get past several days. That's when I start taking some water.
Some fortunate individuals prefer dry.
Most "in the know" say that resting during a fast will optimize the healing experience. I know that my fasting is much more intense during sleep than when I'm up and about.
Breaking the fast in up to the individual's preference. I've broken a fast just about every way imaginable, from juice to meat. Solid foods are OK to break a fast with, but you can only eat a tiny amount.
If you break a fast with juice, you can regain your energy but continue to heal for the length of the juice fast, just not quite as intensely as when water fasting. This always seems to work out best for me because when I do go back on solid foods after a reasonable juice and broth transition period, I seem to have more temperance and avoid overeating. When I break the fast with solid foods, I seem to eat too much. YMMV.
