Re: Candida diet - Gymnema for Sugar Cravings
Well, during my original candida bout, I was able to stop consuming all the "baddies" cold turkey. I basically ate lots of green veggies, at least one huge raw salad with lemon juice and olive oil, and a daily small portion of fish, chicken and occassional tofu for a couple of months. After a few months, I started to add in a chia seed breakfast and almond milk with some nuts, and small amounts of granny smith apple or blueberries, and small amounts of quinoa.
I do believe the secret to my past success was the herbal supplementation of Dr. Biamonte's candida and
parasite cleanses. I'd had no candida symptoms for over three years, and have been careful with continued probiotic and fiber supplementaion, but recently due to increased
Sugar and carb consumption, my symptoms came back, especially the intense
Sugar cravings, lethargy, and spaciness.
I can't afford Biamonte's program right now, so I am taking gymnema for the cravings, Candex, Candida Digest, Oil of Oregano, Biocidin and CandiBactin (the latter two were part of my previous cleanse protocol), plus SuperSeed chia fiber and probiotic. Slowly trying to reduce the baddies week by week and plan to spend at least 2-3 months on a strict diet. I'm hoping that will be enough.
