Apparently a raised pulse that won't go down is a sign that your blood is getting thicker due to lack of water and your heart has to beat faster to compensate. You should always break a fast with water at that point.
I doubt you'd experience the above on a 5 day fast but you never know.
I might start another fast on fri/sat
I would'nt place too much emphasis on how long your fasts are, I'm sure with fractional fasts the body carries on from where the last one ended, so fasting every weekend will still produce good results.
