Don't Worry - I've been fasting many years now - 1 lb a day is the average ?? What happens in reality is some days you get on the scales and nothing has changed, then a few days down the track you get on them again and maybe 3 or 5 lbs have fallen off... Don't expect it to be consistent day to day, just stick at it and you'll get the results you want.
I find that for any permanent weight loss though, I have to do long fasts 30 or 40 days - If I only do 10 or 21 days, I lose weight but a month later it's all back to where it was so not much point other than the awesome detox.
Good luck :) It gets easier and easier the more you practice this and as years go by you'll get experience and find it so easy you'll want to do it from time to time.
