the problem would be whether heat is used. heat sometimes destroys key components of plants (enzymes etc). I know that the other vervain is heat sensitive when it comes to anti- parasite properties. I suspect that the same is true for blue vervain. If you dig around the forum, I recall posts about using ozone to extract the key components, and this can be done quickly.
