Kindly differentiate TYPES of protease: supplements
Please when you discuss this topic, if you mean only one KIND of protease (the one mentioned in your post above, with a specific name), then it's best not to simply use the word "protease" later as if all proteases are bad. Are they all bad or is it just the one type? People sometimes take protease capsules (of a DIFFERENT type of protease than the one mentioned above), to help digestion. Is this a bad idea for people with candida?
I've never had any worsening of symptoms when I take ordinary protease capsules with meals to help digestion (they are NOT the bad type of protease mentioned above). And I feel that these ordinary protease capsules help my digestion more than the plant-based digestive enzyme capsules also available in health food store, so that is why I choose the protease capsules instead.
I'm not interested in using "ginger" "peppermint" or other herbs in its place, been there tried that, they don't do what protease capsules do when eating a protein-rich meal. (although those herbs are nice for other purposes). Same with HCL caps: they do not do for me what protease capsules do.
My point is: should all proteases be lumped in with that one type you discussed?
