How a good man would act

You say that in your relationship, you are the one expected to do the things according to how men do them. Here is what a good man would do:

A good man would not enable a drunk woman by buying her more booze. He would tell her that she had enough to drink then have to courage to stand his ground.

A good man would not have struck back when she was the one who hit first. He would have gotten away from her so as to not inflame the situation. If her blow was hard enough to cause physical damage, he would have called the police and pressed charges. He wouldn't have beaten the woman for hours on end.

A good man would end a sick relationship and move on. He wouldn't have stayed around and endured physical and verbal abuse. Nor would he enable her to get drunk.

All that said, if you insist on staying with her and repeating the same sick behavior again and again, I guarantee it won't end well for either of you.

The truth is you both need help. You both should go to AA meetings, at the very least.

Break it off and don't enter another relationship until you have gotten your act together.
