Re: Day 3 water fasting

WY,
I concur with NH, as death in the fast is extremely rare and usually for the reasons he has stated.
Note how complications set in during the visit to the hospital, because of the swollen cheek and infection.

Electrolyte deficiencies are always the main concern when undergoing an extended fast of longer than 30 to 35 days, and this was experienced by Fuhrman himself, and the reason he terminated his own water-only fast on day 46.

Another reason why fasters should always ensure that their pre-fast diet is of the highest quality or nutrient-dense, and for some considerable time beforehand.
Shelton always maintained, that the safety of a fast is entirely dependent on the quality of ones food reserves, which in turn will determine its length.
