Removal of weird yeast(?)/ wart from my husbands chest

My husband has these fuzzy looking spots on his body, some as large as half a dollar. We were putting Lugol on them, which is very difficult, because the spots won't absorb the Lugol's. So we basically stopped doing that.

Here's a picture of one of them of about half a dollar-size:

Underneath one of them he developed a zit (looked like a zit anyway: puss in it). The zit dried up, but the wart(?) started to grow some kind of tentacles. It started to look like a scary wart. We've been putting Lugol's on it for five days now. Unfortunately I didn't take a foto of how it looked when we started. This foto is taken today: from two sides. It is about 1 cm across in reality:

You can see that around the wart the skin is irritated. That's my mistake: I put the Lugol's on the bare skin. Two days ago I started putting petroleum jelly on the skin around the scary thing (that's the shiny stuff on the foto), so the Lugol's now only gets on to the beast. The surrounding skin is repearing quickly and nicely.

In the picture I already applied the petroleum jelly, but not the Lugol's yet. You can see the "thing" is peeling away from the skin.

Today I was looking at all his spots more closely and noticed that the fuzzy spots were getting smaller! So even though the Lugol's didn't stick very well it still seemed to have worked. But I also feed him Iodoral and supps, so that might also be the reason for them getting smaller.

Sorry if the foto's gross you out.

If anyone is interested in better pictures: I have large ones:

Does anyone know what these spots are? I always assumed they were the candida coming through his skin, but close up they look really scary.
