Obama budget cuts will mean that the CDC will need to find funding elsewhere - http://the-scientist.com/2012/02/29/cdcs-slippery-fiscal-slope/
As happened with previous FDA budget cuts, it can be expected that private industries (dairy, pharmaceutical, etc) will provide support in return for favorable decisions and rulings on their behalf.
