Yes, and Yes to both questions {opinion based on using both mains powered units and battery powered units}. Remember, care and attention to equipment and production process is paramount in achieving best results.

What did Bob Beck initially make available to the public?...Battery powered units! We have however learnt considerably more regarding methods, means and practices for the production of this stuff since his passing, thus we are more, dare I say, 'professional?' in our approach today.
