Re: Canker sore vs cold sore

I just came across your situation via google. I am going through something very similar at the moment and was curious with what happened with you. I have a canker sore (or so I think) that started just on the border of the inside of my bottom lip and has worked its way slightly to the outside part of it. From the research I've done I have learned that canker sores only grow on the mucous membrane of the lips. I'm not sure where that starts or finishes so I'm a bit confused. Did your sores end up being simple canker sores? The sore is slightly visible when my mouth is closed and is quite ugly! Tweet
