Scotty: Did you have testing done? This is such a sticky subject to cover as there are two sides of the issue and most only see one. Copper in ceruloplasmin will be elevated in immune system activation so that the vital copper can be carried to the white blood cells where copper is utilized to manufacture neutrophils.
Copper is not a toxic element as you know but can be in rare situations. Adrenal issues will occur with immune system activation so I would suspect that the adrenal problem is being caused by either an immune activation or toxicity such as heavy metals. Nutrient deficiency will impair adrenal activity and recovery.
I would like to see some journal articles (copper toxicity and adrenal fatigue), so if you have any references, please post them.
