Re: Ashwagandha side effects

Every time I take ashwagandha I keep getting a bladder infection. I will feel like I have a full bladder and then pee alot with a slight burning. Why would this be? Ashwagandha helps my headaches and joint pain, but seems to give a flammatory reaction in my bladder....so wierd. I get a similar reaction with devil's claw. Just don't get it. I am using the brand himalaya.

The ashwagandha really should not have that problem.  I suspect that it is likely one of the additives such as the calcium phosphate or magnesium stearate.  If you can I recommend trying straight ashwagandha powder to see if this solves the problem  If so then it is more likely the additives.
