Re: Candida, Fruit, and the McCombs Plan

Thanks Dr. Jeff for taking the time with your posts! Much appreciaton with  your in depth explanations.  Dr. Jeff is right. When I went on a diet of  98% fat and protein( trying to starve the candida) it did not work. It seemed like after about 3 months the candida became more and more effecient at utilizing fat and protein, but most of all it seemed to be producing more invasive enzymes/(maybe  more ammonia due to excess protein?) that was inflamming my gut more and more. After about 5 months the inflammation was getting so bad that I knew that trying to starve the candida was not working. Ive learned that restricting carbs all together doesnt work. I seem to do better if I combine some complex carbs with a meal. I seem to have more gut inflammation if i do a meal that is strictly protein/fat. Its almost as if the candida leaves more of the protein/fat alone(producing less destructive lipid/protein digesting enzymes in which it releases outside of its cell membrane.... if I remember correctly)  recognizing that there are some carbs around.  Its interesting in this experiment in that when a small amount of glucose is added it helps to keep candida from becoming too pathogenic. It also shows the ammonia producing ability of candida and its enzyme producing capabilities. Its just downright aggravating how candida adapts.

Thats interesting about fruit increasing the effectiveness of candida force . Maybe taking the candida force with a non-fat meal as well would make candida rely more on the fatty acids in candida force ?
