Re: Can Iodine help Athletes?

Hey Marcell!
I don't consider myself an athlete unless u include cheerleading in high school and being superwoman as a mother, but i have been an avid exerciser for years! Since the age of 16 to be exact. From what i hear, ppl who work out rigorously lose even more minerals and iodine thru sweating and may need to supplement even more to keep saturated.
Since starting iodine, I have gone back to working out daily with no fatigue whereas before, with a cfs and fibro diagnosis, i intended to exercise daily but could push myself two to three times a week and i usually felt like death afterwards.. now i wake up at 5am and sweat and lift and feel awesome! I work out hard too so it isn't like a jog or a few shoulder presses. I am aware that I need my adrenals not to get damaged tho so when I feel sluggish, I only walk or do light cardio...
all that is to say that i truly believe that it will help. i read up here a few times of ppl who are running harder and longer than ever after a few months of iodine. i am only a month in and am doing double the exercise with no problem.
my water weight and fluff is melting away! I am feeling great.
