Chronic cold

Okay, so now I've another puzzling question now that I've gotten all the other things under control. I've had a cold for almost six months. I did find this can happen if one has an ongoing infection ( root canals now gone) but shouldn't this be clearing up now that the teeth are out? I can't get rid of it..I'm taking every flippin thing I can think of under the sun, juicing fresh lemon, oranges with ginger twice a day, veggie juices, etc.
Do you think more Iodine is an answer, although I was taking some mad doses for a while that didn't appear to be getting my cold under control, however, to be fair, there was a serious infection in my head from those teeth.

Does anyone have any insight to this conundrum? Or is this something I shouldn't fret over until I give the head a while to heal after the trauma.

Thank you!
