Glad to hear you are getting it out! My 22 year old daughter has been thru pure hell since she got the Mirena. She had it for 2 years and was very very sick the last 6 months she had it, too many symptoms to list again but you can read my earlier posts about it if you'd like. I wish it didn't take us so long to figure out that it was the Mirena. Most of the Dr's said 'oh no the Mirena can't cause this' - but then two Dr's finally said 'get it out because there are unexplained pain syndromes/auto immune issues with Mirena in some women. She has had every test you can imagine and many stays in the hosptial. She is 3 months post removal and though she has improved a lot she is still a very sick girl, and suffering from severe bone/joint flare ups, burning legs/feet/hands, and anxiety, hairloss, migraines and brain fog, and occasional vision problems. It makes me so angry to know that Mirena has caused ALL OF THIS. All the tests she has had came back negative, yet she continues to suffer. I am beginning to wonder if she has fibromyalgia as a result of all the trauma her body has been thru with the Mirena. We are going to talk to the Dr about it on Friday and try to get a new treatment plan, it's like we make one step forward and then two steps back somedays, but we aren't giving up.
