Re: Is a cheap juicer better than none?

Lately I've been making these potions that require a juicer. So I got out my Jack Lalanne juicer and it broke! The plastic bolt that attaches the motor to the blade snapped off. I would have had to replace the whole motor for $50 so I went looking for another.

I decided to get an inexpensive one because I don't plan on using it often. So I bought a Juiceman JM480S as it was on sale for $70. I found out this one is very fragile! So I have to be careful with it. It also doesn't have a pulp basket so it has to be cleansed out more frequently.

If it breaks I think I'm going to try a more expensive screw drive type. like an Omega. Some don't like them though because they have a very small hole to feed the produce into. So more preparation. And it takes a lot more force to push it in. But you can do wheat Grass and other things not practical with the centrifugal type units.
