A medley of thoughts -- I am in full support of iodine treatment for your cousin, but please have her do it with eyes wide open. Asthma medications are powerfully nasty. If you haven't already, read Warduck's posts. At some point, consider switching to or adding SSKI, as it can be rather specific for lung complaints. And along with the salt, your cousin will need lots of clean water to drink and flush the junk from her body. The processing might stress her kidneys, and sufficient dilution will help. Consider adding as much vit C as she can tolerate.
