Oil Sucking - aftermath is disgusting white - why white?

I have experimenting with oil sucking this week.

I use 1 tablespoon of safflower oil. I do a hard swishing. I don't understand how to suck the oil like I am sucking a piece of hard candy. I can only last about 5 minutes. I will try to work up to 10 to 15 minutes. After I spit it out, I swish with water, take 1 tablespoon of good olive oil for swallowing, then rinse/drink a small amount of fruit juice. Hopeully this is all correct.

My question is, why is the safflower oil that I spit out white? There probably is not a good explanation, but the milky white color seems odd.
