Something interesting to note is that...

Even if you kill all bugs that does not mean you may feel fine. I didn't really feel better! Why? Because I had another insidious problem - being gluten & wheat sensitive (not celiac but just enough to cause problems) and subsequently discovering another insidious problem - candida. It wasn't until I went on a search for candida and changed my diet that I felt well. Of course I'm still very glad to have killed the bugs!
Other lurking problems can be mercury or other heavy metal toxicity, hypothyroidism & adrenal weakness and hormonal imbalances.
If one is eating much processed food, particularly if it has added sugar, is drinking soft drinks or having caffeine (of course smoking) then I personally think that person is not likely to feel good. Mostly living & hopefully all organic foods help one feel better for sure.

An experience that i had recently because this is the winter season in Europe :
I have irritated one area of the skin of my hand too much when cutting wood for the fire.
And each time i was cutting the wood with my axe and knife, each time the friction of the axe/knife against my skin caused this area of the skin to bleed.
What this has to do with the above quotation ?
Well, if you think about it, the interior of the digestive tube is the exterior of the human body. And only usefull elements are allowed to enter in the blood.
Now if one area of the digestive tube is constantly irritated by toxic elements, or irritating elements, what do you think will happen ? The same thing it happens with the skin on the outer of the body : if you keep eating toxic foods or irritating foods, some parts of your digestive tube will become so irritated that it will bleed and or become less efficient to protect the toxic elements to enter in the blood...
And the only remedy, is to cleanse the digestive tube, to fast, and to eat primitive foods.
