Thyroid nodule -edited no retrosternal extension
Hi James,
I underwent an ultrasound of the thyroid and following is the result.
A satisfactory view of the thyroid gland was obtained. It is relatively small.
The right lobe is 33*14*14 mm with a volume of 3.4cc and the left lobe is 32*12*14 mm with a volume of 2.9 cc. The gland has a heterogeneous echotexture with a diffusely nodular appearance. Discrete nodules are difficult to differentiate.
There is increased vascularity in both lobes of the thyroid gland. There is no retrosternal extension. No abnormality is seen in the adjacent soft tissues.
Conculsion: The Thyroid gland is relatively small with heterogeneous echotexture and increased vascularity which could be consistent with a thyroiditis.
Please see the below link where you confirmed that I have thyroiditis.

Do I have nodules? If yes, how can I shrink them?
Awaiting your response.
Thanks.
