Re: Expression of NIS markedly decreased or absent in stomach cancer, etc.

I was sitting here a few days ago thinking back when this crap in my body all started, it was shortly after they used Gadolinium contrast for MRI to look at the lesion deep in my brain (more than likely from an old injury). I have been so convinced it did something to my body that caused all this stuff to go wonks. Actually I know it didn't clear properly because not long after I had this rusty stuff coming out the palms of my hands and feet. I even went in to the Urgent care and showed them so they made a note of it. They had never heard of gadolinium or possible side effects. Anyhow, I see how the radioactive io goes into the salivary glands...possible the lethal gado does similar! I'm so frustrated I want to just strangle them all.

I was so opposed to it and they assured me no one ever had any problem with it...REALLY? The bleepety bleeps wanted to use it again and I was vehemently opposed so it was not used again. The technician the second go round was telling me how wonderful this contrast is and he had never seen a problem in so many patients the time he has done this. I said really? Well you are looking at her and I explained what happened. He looked like the cat that swallowed his tongue. No use to complain but it's for information, I HIGHLY advise ANYONE who has to have any diagnostic xray procedure to NEVER EVER allow them to use this period.
