Re: Mixing your Herbs can kill you.
I can appreciate the warnings and precautions that everyone takes when dealing with herbs. If I may shed a little light on the subject to further your understanding . . .
There are two ways to view the harm herbs can do. First, different herbs have different levels of accumulative affects in the body. Many are safe as new milk which is saying that you can take them for months without harm. Then, there are those that have moderate accumulative affects in the body. These should be taken with breaks from them after about 2 weeks. Otherwise, they can stop being beneficial and start harming your organs. Then, finally, there are those herbs which can kill such as jimson weed, blood root, etc. because of their high, accumulative toxicity.
Secondly, another way herbs can cause harm is if you choose the wrong herb and it doesn't get the job done. In this case, your illness/condition can become worse without the proper herb application. It would be like the harm you get from not treating the illness at all.
Hope this helps.
