Re: die off
Also, as a related question, this is my first time taking an antifungal for a positive stool test of geotrichum, which the doctors believe is in my lungs, digestive tract, and probably sinuses as well. I've read others on here talk about the "die off effect.
I've been feeling very weak and tired since starting the Diflucan. It started about 1 week after I started the antifungal. At times I feel a little hot as well. I'm guessing this is die-off? Anyone here have insight into this, and any tips for dealing with it? I tried herbal tea fasting today, but that didn't work well in combination with the symptoms.
My liver tests are normal at the 2 week mark. I've also been coughing up lots of thick mucus, which I'm assuming is the fungi. My stools are looking better than ever--much more well-formed and long. And my sinuses feel different as well--drier and strange--and my hydrogen peroxide nasal wash doesn't burn them anymore like it used to (assuming this means they are healing).
