Accutane and candida connection?
Is it Possible that these long term side effects of accutane are actually a result of a candida/bacteria/parasitic overgrowth? Accutane lowers immune response and a compromised immune system could certainly cause this. I'm curious because after my course of accutane my life has fallen down the drain. I have gerd, Ibs, dyspepsia, many
food sensitivities , joint problems, severe hair loss, mental foggyness, anxiety, uncontrollabke hunger and weight loss, and many more issues. Doctors of course don't seem to have the answer, what a surprise.
I cannot afford a naturopath here in Missouri but i got a live blood analysis. It found parasites, fungus, inability to absorb b12 and iron, possible liver toxicity, high uric acid levels, and more. These all easily explain my symptoms. Unfortunately, the
parasite and candida cleanse only helped so much, but I'm going to try zapping as ive read many good things about it.
Anyways, my point is: could all of these simply be a byproduct of a compromised immune system leading to fungal and parasitic overgrowths because of the accutane and not actually because accutane caused permenant damage in itself? At one point I had severe leaky gut which I've mostly gotten under control. We now know that leaky gut can ultimately lead to diseases like crohns and colitis, two of which are said to be caused by accutane. Is it possible we are taking the wrong approach here?
