Re: mirena removal

Hi Serena, so glad you are having it removed! My daughter said the actual removal was pretty painful/uncomfortable for her, but the benefits of having it out have been truly life changing. She really did have just about every horrible symptom you could imagine. She had her second period since removal, and started having joint/leg pain again but not as severe as in the past. She has also been having a lot of anxiety/panic attacks, but still compared to the last 6 months is still soooo much better. I promise it may take a while, and you may not get rid of every symptom but you are going to feel a lot better. Hang in there and keep us posted. You are on the road to better health! Mirena can seriously cause so many problems, it's amazing to me that it's still on the market when there are so many women getting so so sick from it.
