Re: mirena removal

My daughter had the Mirena for over 2 years, and it now 2 months post removal. She had horrible side effects and was unable to function for a very long time, and suffered horribly. As bad as it can get - that's how bad it was for her. For the first month after removal her symptoms did not really improve and I was very concerned it wasn't going to, but at the 5 and 6 week mark after removal she got sooo much better all of a sudden. She is still experiencing some symptoms, but overall she is back to her old self. The important thing is to get it out, and don't expect to get better immediately, it will take some time most likely, but you will get better. Please keep posting and let us know.
