Good advice, keep searching. You also may want to consult a Naturopathic Doctor, or search out one who is both ND & MD. My third try I found a great doctor. She is on board with me going the natural route, and agreed to see me only to monitor me, and be there if I need medical attention for my infection.

It's awful when people in your life do not believe that you have a problem that you know you have, it's worse when you turn to medical professionals and are treated that way.

Keep looking, but in the meantime you could just start a general parasite cleanse and take charge of your own health, you should be in charge of it anyway, never rely on a doctor 100% anyway.
