Classroom mold, how long until I feel better?
I work in a 90 year old classroom. Five years ago I started feeling daily/ constant fatigue and brain fog, and each year I get more symptoms: TMJ, numb foot, hormonal imbalance, can't breathe out of one side/septum became deviated, headaches, dizziness, premature heart beat, one eye dilated more than the other, abnormal breathing and oxygen test, brain MRI with 30-40 tiny lesions, gamma globulins showing "chronic inflammation." Painful eyes, smells bother me, metallic taste in mouth. Also, all day every day muscle pain.
About the same time I started feeling bad they changed the carpet. But I just found out, they actually put the new carpet on TOP of the OLD carpet! The old carpet had been previously wet due to hurricanes.
Months ago I noticed a smell in my classroom. I checked the AC and it was full of disgusting black "stuff." They said it was dirt, so I sent it to the lab and it was 4 kinds of mold--acremonioum, cladiopsorum, bipolaris, and nigraspora.
After a huge delay, they pressure washed the coils (but didn't clean the ductwork). I dusted everything. My nausea and the smell went away immediately, but I am worried I've had too much exposure and won't get well. I have taken oregano oil and a anti fungal herb with things like cinnamon etc. Also neti pot.
Does anyone know when it will get out of my system, or what else I can do???? Invest in a $400 air purifier?
