O/T Elderly/Alzheimer's Best Natural Antibiotic?

I'm having a hard time getting mom to drink water. She wants to chew on the cup/glass/whatever and not drink as much as she did in the past. Straw not helping either. I have to keep coaxing her and coaxing her. She is also now chewing on everything and I've noticed she also seems to want to roll her tongue around in a chewing type motion. Still eating very well though.

I recall learning from her doctor that alzheimer's patients get worse when a urinary or other infection is present so I'd like to give her an Antibiotic but would prefer it be something other than prescription if possible.

I started a small bit of Iodine but am worried that with it there may be to much heavy metals released and a worsening of her quality of life.

I'm also adding probiotics in her protein shake (wish I'd thought of that many months/yrs ago) So exhausting thinking of everything.

Oh and I just received my magnescent Iodine...would that be better to give her...maybe less detox of metals but more bioavailable?

I just feel that she's taken a step down from where she was just a couple of weeks ago...it may be that she is going into the next stage or maybe just a temporary set back due to an infection...just not sure.

Your Thoughts and resources would be appreciated.
