Re: Fucoidan Use in the Treatement of Cancer
What do you think about this brown seaweed that people claim that it helps with the treatment of cancer?
1. Induce apoptosis in cancer cells.
2. Enhances immunity, suppresse angiogenesis and reduce side effects of chemotherapy and radiation
I have been reading about the use of ozone to treat cancer. I am not ready to give good advice to people on this ground yet, though, there are 2 members in my family just came up with lymphomia and kidney cancer (the cancel is a big as a golf ball now). I was thinking about getting one to experiment with and to be ready when somebody I know is in need.
I would like to be able to help them but do not know how to start.
Fucoidin is an immune stimulating polysaccharide. These are found in numerous plants such as mushrooms, birch, echinacea, myrrh, etc. They can help with cancer by increasing white blood cell activity. Red seaweeds such as dulse though have been found to be much more effective for treating cancer than brown seaweeds. And I would not rely on one direction when fighting cancer. Cancer cells have a good ability to build up tolerances to many things and to evade the immune system. But they also have numerous other vulnerabilities that can be targeted such as their inability to tolerate peroxides, or their reliance on glucose or angiogenesis. These are just a few of the vulnerabilities that can be targeted. And targeting as many of these vulnerabilities at once will decrease the odds that they will be able to adapt or grow at a faster rate than the cells are being destroyed. This is why I do not like to rely on one herb for fighting cancer. By using formulas with multiple herbs/supplements that target these different vulnerabilities the rate of success increases greatly.
