THe reason I said that it damages the antigens of redblood cells was because I read of some test tube studies showing it doing so; the same class of studies done which examined the effect of it on viruses etc. Also, Chris Hyslop from commercial Science said that it also damages red blood cells on this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=RnAoCMK5Qec.
