Hi Lily.

I read your whole message. I felt so sad for you. I think you have a great chance of recovery, though.

I will share my thoughts, one after the next, that I had while reading.

Raw onions are very harsh; maybe they are hurting you and what you feel isn't "die-off" but it is directly from the irritation of eating raw onions.

Proper food combining isn't exactly lightest to heaviest - for example, protiens go before carbohydrates. Also, it's better not to eat proteins and carbohydrates in the same meal. My favorite set of rules is outlined in my favorite book, Healing With Whole Foods by Paul Pitchford. It changed my life completely. Also, it is important to avoid drinking liquids for hours after a meal - way longer than 20 minutes. 20 minutes is plenty enough time to wait BEFORE a meal, though.

Another thought I had is I can't believe how stupid the anorexic programs are. I was in one when I was 14, and it was the same. It's so destructive! When the hell are they gonna GET A CLUE?

I have dent-scars in my face too, but my story's a little different from yours. I WAS put on Accutane, which I believe caused all of the scarring. It impedes the skin's healing abilities while creating a humungous initial flare-up. That's when I got all these scars. They seem to get SLIGHTLY less pronounced as the years go by, but they are still horrible. It leads me to consider abandoning my identity as a "beautiful woman" and just trying to become a respected intellectual instead, or a dedicated meditator, or just something else, that doesn't involve looking good... it's probably healthier, spiritually, emotionally, etc.

Anyhow, I really recommend that book! It helped me more than any other thing has helped me. It taught me to recognize patterns in my symptoms and how to eat to feel A LOT BETTER.

It sounds like your diet with all the greens was doing you a lot of good.
