It is possible that you are eliminating blobs of bio-film, I get out alot of that and I have theorized that it is some sort of protective nesting material. It could also be the phyllium husks, which produce blob-like clumps as they pass through.

Funny you mention 1" tapeworms, today is the first time I have seen anything like this, lots of 1" long rectangle like segments, resembling nothing that I may have ingested....
