Re: new study on antibacterial action of OP
Yes I have stopped oil pulling and my teeth are amazing. I probably haven't oil pulled for about 2 years or so.
I haven't been to a dentist in probably at least 3 years. Any dentist would never believe them if I tell them how I take care of my teeth. I only brush my teeth once a day, first thing in the morning, I also do tongue scraping at this time. Sometimes I use a regular toothbrush and herbal toothpaste and sometimes I use a stick from a toothbrush tree that grows on the farm where I live (in India). The stick is much better, it is basically like going to the dentist and completely removes all plaque. I never floss. I rinse my mouth very well after every meal.
My teeth are perfect, no plaque. My gums are pink and healthy, never bleed (they used to be red and bleed all the time even though I was flossing every day, brushing twice a day). When I was oil pulling regularly, my teeth and gums were also in great shape, but as soon as I would stop oil pulling, my gums would start bleeding again. But now that I am living a completely healthy lifestyle (proper diet, proper activity, proper outlook), oil pulling is no longer necessary. I have noticed that as I have improved my health, my dental health has improved with it. When my lifestyle has started to go downhill, then my dental health did the same.
