I like the pre-meditation practices you mentioned. Consciousb Breathing is a wonderful mechanism for letting our souls open to the soul part of ourselves. Sometimes I breathe from the upper parts of my lungs and it makes meditation a brain game instead of a soul journey. I have my own and they give me great in-sight.
