actually, I said "beyond one's mentalizing". So thinking or doing "mental work" the usual way we work with "intention" is of little real benefit, imv, except insofar as it can help a person to 'cope'. Which is kind of, no, very much! what the walker does. You can get stuck at the level of just coping.

All healing is release from the past. All. This is more profound than the mind wants to bother with--and one might easily just say yeah yeah, and not see/hear it. If you must "think", then just work on that, as a koan. And maybe combine it with EFT. In fact, if you can work a little with and EFT practitioner, you might make great changes.
